In May 2023, Stormclad installed a new front door for my home. The installation was fine, but by January 2024 the lock had already failed. I promptly contacted them, and they initially said they were waiting for parts to repair/replace the lock.
However, after providing that response 10 weeks ago, Stormclad has gone completely dark. Numerous follow-up phone calls and emails going unanswered. As paying customers, we deserve better responsiveness and resolution when an expensive, critical product like an entry door lock fails within 8 months.
While I've had okay experiences with Stormclad in the past for other installations, their lack of any communication or service for this lock issue has been unacceptable. I'm escalating through other channels, but strongly caution others to be wary about using Stormclad. If this is how they handle product defects, it's a red flag about their commitment to customer service.
As of now, I have a new door with a broken lock and no resolution in sight after 2.5 months. Not the quality experience you'd expect after choosing Stormclad as your door installer.

Poor finish goods not fitted to satisfaction render applied during rain and leaked onto soffit. Stormclad insisting on payment. Made to feel uncomfortable. Surveyor had failed to pick up rendering would be necessary as bays were being removed. We have photos of the finish

Deposit lost
Signed a contract for a conservatory in December and paid a £2900 deposit. We were advised no planning permission was required. Following a survey it was discovered planning was needed and we were asked to pay another £500 for planning costs. The planning application came back in March with conditions attached. We didn’t like the changes enforced as this wasn’t what we agreed to when signing the contract so asked to cancel the contract. We were told we are only entitled to a £565.60 refund as the company have incurred sales, marketing and administration costs. We have lost £2834.40 through no fault of our own. We cannot have the specification we paid for and we cannot get our deposit back either. No materials have been ordered and we paid extra for the planning application. Had we have know this was the risk we were entering into when signing the contract we would never have paid over our deposit.

Decided to go with Stormclad for our conservatory, all their team were very helpful, before, during and once the build was finished. They listened to what we wanted and delivered a great finished job.
Because Stormclad did a great job with the conservatory when we recently wanted to change our front and side doors, again we decided to contact Stormclad, their salesman, Dennis was very knowledgeable on their door options and took the time to qualify exactly what we wanted.
As before with the Conservatory, when the doors were fitted there was no mess, the doors worked fine and were fitted in one visit of their installers,
I would not hesitate to recommend Stormclad!

Overall this was a great experience and excellent service throughout.
Right from the start the home visit was comprehensive and stress free with no pressure or obligation to sign up.
On instructing Stormclad to undertake the work, they provided a realistic timescale and schedule of the work to suit us.
The fitters were punctual, efficient and tidied as they went. During the process a tile in the bathroom was cracked and some of the frosted glass had been manufactured differently to the original design. These were both put right without any fuss and we were really impressed with the whole experience.

Very pleased with all aspects of work. The whole refit of my windows and doors went ahead without no fuss. From the bloke who came to measure our windows straight to the fitters, I was extremely happy with their work and politeness. I would thoroughly recommend Stormclad to anyone who needs new windows. Thanks Stormclad, excellent work, done to very high standards.

The work crew were very friendly, did an excellent job in a short space of time. I was so impressed i recommended them to my mother who is having work done by them in a few weeks.

Very pleased with all the cladding etc that has been fitted. Workmen were pretty good generally.
Only downside was the re-fitting of the outside hosepipe tap which was left leaking badly so had to call out a plumber to fix = more expense.

I have used Stormclad before and was very pleased with their work. Again I was very happy with the finished product. The workmanship is very good and to a high standard. A minor problem was dealt with without hesitation or debate. I would certainly recommend this company, very professional.

I have had 9 replacement windows and a French Door replaced in 2 instalments in recent years. Paul, the Salesman was excellent, caring and putting one at their ease. The Fitters were also of excellent calibre. Friendly and super efficient at their work in hand. All jobs were completed in quick time without any bother. You are to be commended on your wonderful workforce. In all ways,thoroughly recommended. I'm very pleased indeed.

We had a carport installed and the fascias and soffits were all renewed on one side. It was all done on time and to a good standard . We had a few minor issues but they fixed everything. Perfectly happy with the quality, service and cost.

Wow what a 5 Star service all round!! I never do reviews but I feel I need too with the fantastic service we just had.
Right from the salesman to the very end we can honestly say we received 5 star service and not only value for your money but you actually got top quality windows. After 4 quotes from other companies and Stomclad was not only the cheapest but the best quality too! Also I would like to thank Scot our window installer, what a top man, very professional and was on time and also put dust sheets right up the stairs and kept everything clean.
Thank you Stormclad for your honest and professional service. I'm definitely getting my other windows done with you guys soon.

We have had all new replacement windows and a new front door. We were very pleased with the finished products and everything was left neat and tidy. The two young fitters were very good. The only downfall is that we were hoping to be able to clean both sides of the windows by opening them out, but unfortunately, despite two fitters coming out to loosen them off we are still not able to slide the windows enough to clean the outside. But apart from that we were very happy with the finished product.

Having seen the good job they did for my daughter we decided to try Stormclad .I am so glad we did a very friendly staff arrived on time and when they had finished there was no mess . Had stormclad do my guttering. Professional job very competitive price completed whilst we were at work . No fuss no mess everything taken away including old tv Ariel. Very pleased with work undertaken. Salesman and all office staff that I dealt with were friendly and efficient.

I do not usually write reviews but feel that I must do so for Stormclad following the 1st class service they have given me over the last 2 years. Over this period they have installed new doors, windows, gutters and a replacement conservatory for me. I am a retired Project Manager with over 40 years experience of managing companies like Stormclad. My requirement was to upgrade my property with the best windows, glass and doors available today and have a quality installation. I guess that my experience has helped me manage them, but their friendly installation teams always came when they promised, they undertook their work very professionally, they left my home clean and tidy and did a 1st class job.
No company is perfect and how they rectify any issues is often a good measure of that company. Stormclad quickly did this (changed a marked glazed unit). I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We had windows, fascias and soffits done. From the word go they kept us informed of what was happening, the guys that did the work were great. They kept us informed what they were doing and would go the extra mile to be helpful to meet your needs. Can't fault the work they did, they made sure they clean up after each day's work. We would use them again when we need further work on our conservatory, well done to the guys that did our work, workmen to be proud of.

First class service from start to finish:.
A friendly, helpful sales rep called within a few days of our enquiry about replacing a back door and we were very surprised to find out that the quote offered was by far the cheapest we had obtained locally. After agreeing the purchase the rep recognised that for security reasons it would benefit us greatly to have the door fitted sooner rather than later - and for peace of mind he arranged for the installation to be moved forward to the earliest possible date. A really nice gesture that underlined customer importance.
The fitting was done on the date arranged and completed within two hours - with all rubbish (including the old door) taken away.
Highly recommended.

I can highly recommend using Stormclad Home Improvements. Having had new doors, fascias and recently a replacement conservatory I have been totally impressed with every level of their service. From the initial visit to discuss the job requirements, detailed survey, made to measure fittings and masterful construction, a finer company would be hard to find.

I would not have used this Company if I had known had bad the service was going to be from them. The sales rep said the builders would 'make good' a couple of walls that were going to be knocked through from our lounge, when builders did they work they said that work be extra.Had to get the Stormclad out to see the work.We signed for the conversatory in July and they didn't start work until the weather got bad in October.We arranged for the builders to come on a Monday and my husband booked the day off.He rang Stormclad on the Friday to check they were still coming and was told no it had been rearranged, thanks for lettings us know. To cut a long story short the Admin Team will never ever ring you back you have to chase them all the time, the Sales Reps are amazing and tell you everything you want to hear so of course you sign the contract. We have a leak at the top of our small Conservatory, the builder has been out twice to fix it and it still leaks. Not sure when he is coming out again. My advice to you would be find a better company to go with as there is no after sales service either.

We used these for a bay fronted window and conservatory. We got told what was going to be done at the beginning and promised a lot. On install we had a skip on our drive for several weeks doing nothing. We had our back garden left in a state of unsafe for several weeks.
We got promised several things but things didn't happen if it wasn't written down on the sheet. eg: they promised a stop so the door didn't open onto a pipe. It wasn't supplied and the pipe was broke before they handed over the conservatory.
There is no communication given at the time to what was happening and who was coming round when. They told us eventually the conservatory was done. Me and the wife spent 4 hours cleaning it to get it to a liveable standard.
The three walls on the inside have three different types of brick.
There is one internal wall that isn't even interlocked with another. It just has mortar joining this. I have spoken to an architect and he says this is not right and has a possibility of moving. We mentioned issues as it was being installed, we got told not to worry it is all ok.
We had a lovely one piece window ledge ripped out and installed by one of their badly fitted three piece with a plastic join at each sections mess.
They came back to sort issues out and still left mess about and it is a bit better but not all issues have been dealt with.
If people are using these please check and double check paper work and on going work.

As Managing Director and after visiting your home I acknowledged that there were elements of the work our team completed that did not meet the expectations I have of my staff or our products. This had been a genuine mistake that, as you are aware, that I am willing to try and resolve.
The week following our inspection I arranged for all of the items you had highlighted in your complaint to be fixed at no extra cost. Speaking to me personally you expressed that you were happy with the work we had undertaken.
I can only apologise for the inconvenience caused during the build process. Unfortunately any amount of home improvement can cause disruption. We try to minimise this as much as possible but I acknowledge your frustration and apologise unreservedly.
I can assure you that Stormclad installs in excess of 300 windows each month and many of our customers are incredibly happy with the work we undertake. We really care about all of our customers and I’m really sorry on this occasion we had to come and resolve issues that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

We have had new Bargeboards and Soffitts fitted to our Bungalow. Excellent product and the fitting process was more or less painless. Having compared the quality of the product to others we feel that weI have purchased a cost-effective and cosmetically excellent item. Highly recommended.

Had really good service from this company. The fitters were amazing. nothing too much trouble. The only thing I found really unusual was the lack of a courtesy call once the job was done to see if everything was ok. otherwise top notch service.

We had seen Stormclad advertising on a number of different occasions, so thought we would try them for our Conservatory. I am so pleased we did. The service was second to none and the quality is simply excellent. I would highly recommend them! – Keep up the good work!
