While the finished product is good the customer care from the fitters left a lot to be desired. Debris left on the drive from removal of the old windows. Other rubbish left there as well. Dust everywhere inside which they made no attempt to clear up. They went home on Wednesday while we were both out & left the side door open ( not just unlocked). They denied this when my husband asked them about it.

As soon as we heard that Mr & Mrs Richmond were unhappy our MD offered to go straight round to look at the debris. In fairness Mr Richmond said he had cleared it away so there was very little to see. They did send a photograph of one table with dust on it and we have spoken to our fitters about this issue. They are adamant they would never leave a house with a door open and we believe them as they are encouraged to be honest when making mistakes – something we all do from time to time, even with the best will and intentions. Dust and minor debris is part and parcel of having new windows but we do try and clear up as much as possible – we have reminded all of our friendly teams that they must keep their standards up – we are now in our 27th year of trading and rely heavily on customers being completely satisfied.

Having searched for several weeks for a reputable and dependable company to replace all the windows and doors in my house, and build a conservatory I chose Acorn. From the initial meeting with Managing Director, James Hibbert, we were filled with confidence and knew we had chosen the right people to transform the house. The builders and fitters were highly skilled, meticulous, friendly and very hard-working and did a superb job, going out of their way to ensure that we were happy with the end product. James oversaw the work and was always on hand to answer any queries about this and other work that I needed doing and recommended other excellent tradespeople to complete these jobs too. I am confident too that should I need any after-sales service the company will not let me down. It is all too rare these days to find a company of such calibre - highly recommended.

Acorn Windows have recently fitted 10 windows ,2 patio doors and a composite front door to our four bedroomed home. In addition they constructed a glass roofed conservatory with 2 additional large patio doors. We were given clear and detailed quotations from the outset. The sales team were very helpful but did not exert any pressure to buy. No deposit was required before installation and only stage payment requested after substantial amounts of work had been successfully completed. All workmen involved in what was a substantial contract were polite, reliable , trustworthy and clearly took a great deal of pride in their work and achieved an outstanding quality of finish. As soon as the old windows were removed they were taken to their vehicle and the site left clear and as a result they left the property and drive as clean as when they arrived They took care not to damage existing decor. Overall an excellent job well done at an affordable price.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company and their subcontractors.

Recently Acorn Windows fitted 7 new windows, 1 front door and a french door combination with 2 side panels into my existing bungalow/new build (extension). The windows are excellent and we have already noticed a difference in warmth within the building and a noise reduction (as we live in Newthorpe on a busy cut through road). The finish and overall robust feel of the windows and door are excellent. The fitters were courteous, arrived early and sorted the job in just shy of 2 days. The product also has a 10 year guarantee.
